Herve Lenouvel

Bone in Brittany, France in 1960, Herve grew up in the countryside near the forest of Broceliande, a landscape that forged his deep and enduring connection to nature. From an early age, he turned to drawing and painting as a way to translate the connection. A self taught painter. Herve he messed himself in books on technique, experimenting with watercolor and Gouache ultimately choosing oil paint for its richness and expressive physicality..
Nature is his soul source of inspiration, his work is shaped by the impressions gathered during his daily walks, sun and mist, wind rustling leaves ,shifting light,and then the quiet presence of trees and distant hills.
