“My paintings are not about looking to recreate reality but to open the doors to my imagination and hopefully those of the viewer. Somewhat like assembling a jigsaw puzzle and always searching for that missing bit, that gem of a touch that makes it special. The use of explosive colour combinations alongside subtle paint mix, expressive brush strokes and impasto contrasts are all part of the puzzle and to me great joy of slotting that final piece in place makes it utterly satisfying when it works.”
